International
Student Exchange (hereafter referred to as ISE) offers a Short Term Study Tour
Program. This can be arranged in
Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria.
This Program is a great
opportunity for groups of School Students, Primary & Secondary, to spend
time in an Australian school and participate in the day-to-day activities. This
Program is organised for Students between the ages of 11 and 18 years and for
groups of 10 – 20 Students per school.
Included
in this Program can be an introduction to Australian culture such as Aboriginal
cultural displays, cuddling a Koala, feeding Kangaroos or tasting Billy Tea and
Damper.
ISE
has been arranging theses Study Tours for many years and the key to our success
is the ‘‘behind the scenes’’ support.
Our Head Office based Group Organiser plans the whole tour from beginning
to end, including the location of the Study Centre
(Host School), employing Coordinators,
booking excursions and coach transfers.
We
produce a comprehensive Itinerary of the tour,
which indicates precisely where the Students will be at any given time during
the school day. In the evenings and on weekends, the Students are able to enjoy
free time with their Host Families.
All Students receive a Name List, which provides contact details for all
the Host Families and the Study Centre (Host School).
Prior
to the Group’s arrival, we conduct an orientation with the Host Families at
the Study Centre (Host School). At
this orientation we go through the Itinerary and Name List to ensure that
everyone involved is aware of what will be happening each day.
On the first day of the Group’s arrival, ISE will conduct an orientation with the Student’s to ensure they understand the Program and Australian Culture.
At the end of the visit we hold a farewell party, thanking everyone for their participation and enabling them to enjoy some cultural interaction.
