After initial acceptance of a Tour, each Study Centre (Host School) is allocated a Coordinator. It is their responsibility to ensure that the Program runs correctly and satisfactorily for both the visiting Group of Students and the Hosting School.
The Short Term Group Study Tour Program revolves around this Coordinator, who is carefully selected and trained to cope with each individual Group of Students.
The Coordinators’ position is of great importance, as they are the main person with whom the Group of Students and the Host Families will want to confide.
Many of the Students have never been outside their own country, so everything will be very exciting and different. The Coordinator becomes a Friend and Teacher and is always available to the Group of Students, the Study Centre (Host School) and the Host Families, they assist in solving any problems that may arise. ISE Head Office, the Group Organiser supports the Coordinator with all information, study material, excursion and bus bookings and is also available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
The Coordinator arranges an Orientation with all Host Families prior to the commencement of the Tour. An ISE Program Organiser/representative is present at this Orientation to address the Host Families and School Delegates regarding the Tour.
During the Tour, the Coordinator encourages the visiting Students to speak English and is trained to conduct English Conversation Lessons if required. They will also accompany the Students on all ISE arranged excursions.
The Coordinator works closely with the Study Centre (Host School), to plan the Tour. They will confirm that the Students have a homeroom, arrange for the Student’s to visit various classes and enjoy interaction.
Many Australian Schools who have accepted an ISE Program, have commented on how successful the Program was and how much they enjoyed the Tour.
